Matt Stensland

— The Steamboat Springs Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred sometime Thursday night at Pine Grove Dental Arts, 1475 Pine Grove Road.

Sgt. Scott Middleton said a crowbar was used to gain access to the building through the back door. A large tank of nitrous oxide was stolen.

Employees discovered the burglary when they arrived to work at about 7 a.m. Friday. Middleton said detectives spent the entire morning at the business investigating the burglary, but no suspects had been identified.

Nitrous oxide is a gas that is used to sedate patients but also may be abused recreationally.
