Part of 13th Street in Steamboat to be closed Monday through Friday

Scott Franz

— Thirteenth Street will be closed until Friday afternoon between Lincoln Avenue and Bud Werner Memorial Library while Duckels Construction replaces a sewer line, according to a news release from the city of Steamboat Springs.

The closure starts at 6 a.m. Monday and is expected to continue until 1 p.m. Friday.

During the project, traffic will follow a detour to Shield Drive and over the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge to 13th Street.

The library’s main parking lot will be closed during the project, but the library will keep its regular hours.

Alternative parking for the library is available in the northern parking lot next to West Lincoln Park, spaces at Yampa and Little Toots Park and along Lincoln Avenue.

The city said the times and dates of the road closure are subject to change “depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.”
