Probably some of the best news we’ve heard around here in awhile … awesome!

Best of the Web for June 6

What exactly is damaged or injured when someone trespasses? I know you can define any act that is not fully in line with the law as a crime, but how do you differentiate between those that injure those that annoy?

Best of the Web: Gymnastics meet

Eagles league gymnastics is not about upper level gymnastics and winning and glory. Sure, those kids get an opportunity to try gymnastics skills and a level that they are working on for the next USA Gymnastics season and stretch themselves skill ways.

Best of the Web: U.S. 40 paving

Best of the Web comments for the week of May 16 to 22, 2010.

Best of the Web: Economy

id he really say 5-7 years before construction returns to 2007/2008 levels? Maybe 5-7 years before it returns to a more normal level of like 2003 to 2005. 2007/08 was such a crazy boom that those levels would not be sustainable without a far larger population base.

Best of the Web: Base area finance deal

■ It seems to me to be a reasonable step. We certainly ought to consider other financing options as well. And if in the end posting additional security seems a favorable option, it need not necessarily be from reserves. Other types of financial instruments can be used.

Best of the Web: Estate tax

Looky here, we have the Dems acting like conservatives. It is not sustainable, is that the word of the year or what with these Democrats?

Best of the Web: Athlete, SSWSC awards

■ Congratulations to head of the Nordic combined program, coach Todd Wilson and the rest of the NC coaching staff (Gary Crawford, Martin Bayer and Kathryn Elkins). You run a fantastic program, not just about sport but about life. I couldn’t be happier to have you as such prominent people in my children’s lives, and I know they will grow up to be better people because of their association with you. You so totally deserve this USSA award.

Best of the Web: Crayfish

If you move them away from where they were caught, some yo-yo will end up putting them back in the water somewhere and they will reproduce and harm the environment there.

Best of the Web: LIFT-UP donations

Here are some guidelines for those who would donate: If it needs a little mending, it’s trash. If it has stains on it, it’s trash. If you think someone else will take the time to finish it or repair it, it’s trash.

Best of the Web: Humble Ranch

Humble Ranch is there to help a population of people who benefit from specialized intervention. There are hiking and biking trails all over this valley and beyond, available for everyone’s use.

Best of the Web: Health care

■ Interesting that the people in the actual health care industry, both doctors and administrators, are somewhat positive.
