On the Market: Trial attorney Welsh to join Feldman Nagel, LLC

Steamboat Springs — Patrick Welsh is a civil and criminal trial attorney with the office of Feldman Nagel, LLC.
Before joining Feldmann Nagel, LLC, Welsh ran his own practice in Steamboat Springs, handling criminal defense and civil litigation. Before establishing his own firm, Welsh was a deputy district attorney with the 14th Judicial District. While with the D.A.'s office, he handled felony and misdemeanor prosecutions.
Welsh's current practice includes criminal defense, real estate litigation, telecommunications law, workers compensation and representation of victims and wildlife law, among others.
Welsh also is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Nebraska and has practiced as a commercial Realtor for the past 15 years and a wireless telecommunications acquisitions and zoning professional for the past 10 years.
He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas and his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school, he interned for the Kent County Michigan District Attorney's office and the Denver County Colorado District Attorney's office.
Colorado Group awards $13K to 7 organizations
The Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation awarded a total of $13,000 in grants to seven local organizations Wednesday during a gathering at the Tread of Pioneers Museum.
The cash awards represent the latest round in an ongoing process, during which the foundation has donated $75,000, and is part of a continuous effort to support community-based programs.
"In order to support our local organizations, it is with great pleasure that each and every broker at Colorado Group Realty contributes to the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation," Sharon Beaupre said. She is a broker/owner at Colorado Group Realty and CGR Charitable Foundation board member.
This summer's recipients include: Community Agriculture Alliance, Friends of the Chief Foundation, Friends of the Yampa, Humble Ranch Education and Therapy Center, Laurel Street School & Family Learning Center, Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, Routt County Habitat for Humanity, Routt County Search and Rescue, Steamboat Art Museum, Steamboat Springs Elementary Challenge Fund and the Tread of Pioneers Museum.
The Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation was established in 2006 in order to provide a means to give back to the community. In addition to donations made at the time of real estate transactions, employees, managers and matching funds from client and public donations also can contribute to the foundation.
The goal of the Charitable Foundation is to support a wide range of community based programs related to human services, the arts, education, Western heritage, the environment and recreation.
