On the Market: Prudential and Tour De Steamboat ride again

— Prudential Steamboat Realty has announced it will once again team up with Tour de Steamboat to help raise funds for the Sunshine Kids Foundation.

In addition to lending support every year to the Sunshine Kids' annual visit to Steamboat, Prudential Steamboat Realty will host the Tour de Steamboat Pre-Ride Benefit Dinner on July 15.

There will be a silent auction and live entertainment at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort pavilion. The 2010 event helped raise more than $40,000. Visit http://www.tourde steamboat.com to buy tickets.

Beginning in 2008, Tour de Steamboat transformed into an event to help raise funds, as well as awareness, for Sunshine Kids. The tour has become a popular road bike event not only in Colorado, but also throughout the nation, with 23 states represented in 2010. The event consists of three routes — 25, 40 or 100 miles —which take riders through some of the most scenic areas in the Yampa Valley including three mountain passes.

Sunshine Kids is an organization founded with the mission of adding quality of life to children with cancer by providing them with exciting, positive group activities. Each March, Sunshine Kids hosts a weeklong event in Steamboat. The vacation includes tubing, skiing, snowmobiling and social events.
