Oak Creek Town Board to discuss town administrator Thursday

Michael Schrantz

— The Oak Creek Town Board will meet Thursday to discuss the sole candidate for the town administrator position.

The new position replaces the town clerk position after Karen Halterman resigned in November.

The five finalists were narrowed down to Mary Alice Page-Allen, who lives in Steamboat, and Andrea Phillips, who lives outside Routt County. Phillips recently sent the Town Board a letter pulling out of the running for the position, leaving Page-Allen as the sole candidate.

The Town Board will meet Thursday to discuss the position and plans to vote on whether to hire Page-Allen.

Oak Creek Mayor Nikki Knoebel said that the Town Board is excited to fill the position and that she feels the town is moving in a positive direction.

The Town Board will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Oak Creek Town Hall to meet Page-Allen, and the regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
