Oak Creek Town Board to consider appointing new member

Michael Schrantz

— At its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at town offices, the Oak Creek Town Board will consider a replacement for former trustee Johrene Meyers-Story.

According to town communication, Jackie Brown has submitted the only letter of interest for the open seat.

Brown’s letter states that she has lived in Oak Creek since 2007 and has served on the Oak Creek Planning Commission for two of those years. Her resume lists her occupation as a district manager/watershed coordinator for the Routt County Conservation District.

The appointment would be valid until the next municipal election, which is set for April 2014.

In other action, the Town Board will open sealed bids for a bucket truck, consider an improvements agreement for upgrades to the South Routt Medical Center building, ratify adoption of International Fire Code and designate some grant signing authority to Town Administrator Mary Alice Page-Allen.
