North Routt Chili Cookoff draws a big crowd

— Several pots of chili attracted a large crowd Sunday to the Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse in North Routt County.

The North Routt Chili Cookoff and the Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser together raised $3,310 for the North Routt Community Charter School and the North Routt Preschool.

Following are the results for the annual cookoff:

Red:

1. Dan Bubenheim, Moose Chili

2. Todd Raper, Hippie Deep Creek Chili

3. Molly Lotz, Fetcher Ranch Chili

Green:

1. Diane Townes, Di’s Dynamite

2. Aden and Brenda Knaus, Derby Green Chili

3. Erick Knaus, Popeye’s Pork Green Chili

Other:

1. Charles and Nancy Wilson, Kentucky Beer Cheese Soup

2. (tie) Joe Muhlbauer, Italian Wedding Soup

2. (tie) Becky Heid, Becky’s Pisole

Dessert:

1. Dan Bubenheim, White Chocolate Bread Pudding

2. McKinley Muhlbauer, Howling Wolf Brownies
