Talent Show will benefit Stamp, Tabor funds
A Talent Show will be held at 7 p.m. March 18 at Steamboat Springs High School. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Ashley Stamp and Travis Tabor memorial funds.
A tryout for the show will be held at 4:15 p.m. today at the middle school. All ages and talents are welcome. Rehearsals will be held at 6 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. March 17. McKenzie Worden and Jessi Eagerton are the organizers of the show. Call Worden at 879-3017 or Eagerton at 871-6986.
YVMC offering early blood tests by appointment
Yampa Valley Medical Center offers early blood tests, by appointment only, in conjunction with the April 2 9Health Fair. The tests are available from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 15 through 18. Results and interpretation will be available at the health fair. Call 875-2759 for an appointment.
Parent and teacher conferences Thursday
Steamboat Springs High School is holding parent/teacher conferences in conjunction with registration for the upcoming school year from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. All students who plan to attend the high school in the 2005-06 school year should call the school at 879-1562 to schedule a registration appointment.
TEFAP foods distributed through LIFT-UP
U.S. Department of Agriculture commodities are being distributed at the LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek through The Emergency Food Assistance program. Eligible households can receive TEFAP foods once per quarter, and the current quarter began Jan. 1 and ends March 30. Call 870-8804 for more information about income eligibility and each office’s hours of operation.
Arts Council accepting entries for exhibit
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is accepting entries for “The Intensive Spirit: Celebrating 22 Years of the Paper and Book Intensive,” an international juried exhibition of book arts and handmade paper constructions which will be on display April 29 to June 19. The entry fee is $30 for as many as three entries, or $25 for Arts Council members.
