Vendors needed for Hayden Valley Summerfest
The Hayden Recreation Board is seeking vendors of arts, crafts, children’s items, garden items, etc., for the fourth annual Hayden Valley Summerfest, to be held Saturday. Vendors must have or apply for a Colorado state Sales Tax License and a Hayden Sales Tax License. Call Lindsay at 276-3741.
Mountain Chili Festival seeking participants
The second annual Mountain Chili Festival, hosted by the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., is looking for participants to cook their favorite chili recipes. This summer’s festival will take place July 30 at the base of the ski area. The entry fee is $25, and prizes include airline tickets, a spa package at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel and a destination vacation. Chili categories are red or green, with prizes for each. Local art vendors needed for Art On The Mountain
Local art vendors are being sought to participate in any of the fourth annual Art On The Mountain shows this summer. The shows will be held on July 4 weekend, July 30 and 31, Aug. 6 and 7, Labor Day weekend and Sept. 10. The cost is $75 for a 10-by-10-foot booth. Shows take place at the base of the ski area in Gondola Square. Call Nancy at 871-5315.
Registrations being taken for roundup days, parade
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is accepting registrations for the 102nd Cowboys’ Roundup Days/First National Bank of Steamboat Springs Fourth of July parade. The theme of this year’s parade is “Steamboat Springs, show us your age,” recognizing a year that also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Routt National Forest and F.M. Light and Sons. To enter a float in the parade, pick up an application at the Steamboat Springs Visitor Center, 1255 S. Lincoln Ave.
Veterans encouraged to learn about benefits
Routt County veterans are encouraged to stop by the Colorado Workforce Office in Sundance at Fishcreek shopping center and visit with the Routt County Veterans Affairs officer. Find out what benefits have been earned by serving in the Armed Forces. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. Call 879-5489 or e-mail email@example.com.
Yampa invites community to July 4 celebration
Yampa is preparing for its July 4 celebration. The theme is “Yampa Salutes the Workers of America.” All workers and working trucks such as cattle trucks, logging trucks, electric trucks, railroad trucks, mining trucks, etc., are invited to be in the parade. Call 638-4574 or 638-4496.
