More condos below $100,000 available in Steamboat

Beth Bishop, of the Olson Team at Prudential Steamboat Realty, has researched 13 condominiums at base of the Steamboat Ski Area currently listed for less than $100,000, a price point that didn't exist five years ago.

They begin with a remodeled 565-square-foot one-bedroom Walton Village condo.

Walton Village, built in 1979, has been the common denominator for generations of single buyers who have put down roots in Steamboat. This home has extras like granite slab countertops, a fireplace and a new bathroom.

Fannie Mae's HomePath Mortgage program makes it available for as low as 3 percent down for qualified buyers.

There's also a newer and slightly larger Walton Village condo on the market — 1998 and 584 square feet — for $73,900.

There is a third Walton Village condo that is also a Fannie Mae HomePath opportunity on the market for $79,900.
