Loud kids were rude when told to quiet down: The Record for Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017

1:07 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a complaint about eight to 10 kids having a party and yelling and talking loud at a condo in the 3300 block of Columbine Drive. The person who called the police said the kids were rude when they were asked to quiet down. The area was quiet when police arrived.

11:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of damage to a vehicle at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.

11:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of tools stolen from construction offices in the 600 block of Evans Street.

4:38 p.m. Officers were called to a report of graffiti near some bathrooms at Howelsen Park.

6:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who was driving erratically and possibly throwing beer bottles out of their vehicle on Elk River Road. The vehicle was pulled over by police, and no action was taken.

9:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was banging around in a trash can in the first block of Spar Street. The bear was gone when police arrived.
