Several families spent last weekend in the great outdoors. The Knez family traveled to Rifle Gap and spent the weekend camping. Ruby and Troy Wertenberger traveled with Dennis and Vickie Parrott, Dan and Judy Parrott and Robin and Richard Bush to Estes Park to check out the elk and the changing colors. The Dennis Hallenbeck family camped with Chuck Silengo, Taylor Powell and the Terry Powers family at Rifle Gap. They checked out the fish hatchery and the falls while they were there.


There will be a SIT meeting for Hayden Valley Elementary School at 3:45 p.m. Monday in the school's library.

A workshop focusing on oil and gas laws is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Hayden Public Library. The workshop is hosted by attorney Anne Zoltani and costs $15. To register, call Lindsey at 970-276-7291.
