Jim and Betty Anne Wandell will celebrate their golden 50th anniversary along with Ray and Barbara Manzanares, who will celebrate their silver anniversary, from 2 to 5 p.m. June 6 at The Haven Community Center. Please come help them celebrate these special milestones. No gifts, please.

Get well

Get well to Doris Mayhan, who had a horse-riding accident. She is now at home recovering and doing quite well.

Summer plans

Wart and Bonnie Standridge have returned to Hayden for the summer. Wart has been riding his bike around town and doing some visiting.

Jarah Woodley will be joining the staff at Mountain Valley Bank as a teller for the summer.

Ashley Doolin traveled back to Hayden so she could graduate with her class. She flew back to California on Thursday and will start college in June.


Come out for the Barbecue and Barn Dance fundraiser for the seniors at The Haven. This fun event is at 6 p.m. June 12. The cost is $25 for couples, $15 for adults, $8 for students 6 to 18 years old, and free for children younger than 5. In addition to live music from Loose Change and dancing, there also will be face painting for the children and a pottery table. Everyone should have a good time while helping a worthy cause.
