— Condolences to Tammy Delaney and family for the loss of Tammy's father, Bill Bowes, who passed away this week.


Happy birthday wishes to Ted Copeland, Rick Hines, Chris Miller, Treyben Letlow and Ronald Staudt.

Anniversary wishes to BJ and Betty Barnes, Troy and Ruby Wertenberger, Bill and Andrea Hayden, and Sue and Vance Fulton.

A special anniversary wish for Wayne and Deanna Sweetser, who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Family and friends are invited to congratulate Wayne and Deanna from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Hayden Congregational Church.


The school year is about to end and some of the upcoming events at Hayden Valley Elementary School are fast approaching.

Field day is Tuesday with fourth- and fifth-graders participating from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., second- and third-graders from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and kindergartners and first-graders from 2 to 3 p.m. The entire school will have its Positive Behavioral Support pie-throwing contest at 3 p.m.

The school's awards program will take place at 8:30 a.m. May 26, the last day of school, and the talent show will take place at 1 p.m.

■ Trenton Kelley is student of the week for middle school students at Hayden Secondary Schools. He is recovering from surgery and according to his grandparents is doing well.

■ Congratulations to the high school seniors who graduate today.
