A big thank you to the group of women that met Feb. 20 for a Party Lite Candles shopping spree. The hostess's proceeds were given to Logan Morrison to help with his medical expenses. Thanks to Camilla Wall for organizing this fundraiser. Thanks to GG's Coffee Shop for letting the group have the party there.

Upcoming events

The Hayden Marketplace will have a shopping gala from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Come check out artisans' homemade items along with representatives from Scentsy, Tupperware, Watkins, Advocare and more. They will host an Easter Egg dye party April 3.

Don't forget the Bunkhouse Bull Session on April 16. If you are a 4-H or FFA member from Routt County, you can win a $500 scholarship by submitting your original song, poem or short story. The Hayden Lions Club will have its annual St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hayden Valley Elementary School lunchroom. The cost of the meal is $10 for adults. Children ages 11 and younger eat free. Come out and support a worthy cause.

Scholarship information

The Routt County CattleWomen's Association is taking applications for its annual scholarships, for high school seniors and students already enrolled in college to continue their educations. To apply, call counselors at local high schools or Laurie Hallenbeck at 276-4152.
