Mary Wixson celebrated her 90th birthday March 18 with family and friends. Mary's grandchildren Nelson Wixson and Gina (Wixson) O'Gorman, of North Carolina, Heather (Wixson) McDowell, of New York, and Dottie and Scott Wixson, of Rawlins, Wyo., came to help her celebrate along with her sons Jim Wixson, of Glasglow, Mont., and George and Jeannie Wixson, of Hayden. Various friends from the Rebekah Lodge, VFW and many of the seniors who share lunch weekly with Mary also joined the party. Partygoers enjoyed salad, soups and meatballs and three delicious cakes. The party was held at the Double Barrel Restaurant.

The Lion's Club corned beef and cabbage dinner was well-attended this year. The weather was bad, but the community braved the snowstorm and had some good food and good conversations with neighbors they had not seen in a while.

Spring break starts Monday, so please be careful as you drive across town as students will be out enjoying the weather.

There will be a craft fair at the Rebekah Lodge on Walnut Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Rebekah ladies will be serving soup and dessert.
