Larry Allan Suits: 1962 — 2005

Hayden resident Larry Allan Suits died June 18, 2005, at Yampa Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 43.
Allan was born July 3, 1962, in Grants, N.M., to Larry D. and Kittie Sue (Powers ) Suits. He grew up in Grants, Springer, N.M., and Ill. His family moved to Hayden, where he graduated from high school in 1980.
After high school, Allan attended a vocational school in Steamboat Springs, where he received training as a welder.
Allan married Lorna Mauth on May 21, 1988, in Hayden.
Allan worked at the Hayden Power Plant as a welder for 10 years and had been at the Craig Power Plant for 15 years where he was the training coordinator.
Allan enjoyed hunting and target shooting, but he enjoyed being with his family most of all.
Allan is survived by his wife, Lorna D. Suits; daughters, Amber and Jessie; sons, Chris and Ashley, all of Hayden; sister, Wanda, and her husband, Chad Peppler, of Steamboat Springs; aunts, Faye and her husband, James Evans, of Eugene, Ore., Brenda Suits of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Jeanie Ford, of Eldorado, Ill.; uncles, Gene Powers of Dallas, Texas, Bob and his wife, Loretta Suits, of Cave in Rock, Ill., Leon and his wife, Vicki Suits, of Forsyth, Mont.; mother-in-law, Janet Mauth, of Craig; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Mauth of Craig, Nanette Mauth of Steamboat Springs, and Denise, and her husband, Duane Leonard, of Eaton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services for Allan were held June 25, 2005, at the Cal–vary Baptist Church in Craig.Donations can be made to a memorial fund for his children in care of The Bank of Colorado, 250 W. Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625.
