Karen Burley: Thanks to community

Karen Burley

Because of the generosity of sponsors, silent auction donors and bidders, in-kind donors and the attendance of 230 individuals, The Haven Assisted Living Center’s fourth annual Barbecue, Barn Dance and Silent Auction grossed more than $11,000 for much-needed maintenance and repairs at the Haven.

I would like to thank the staff of the Haven and the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. You volunteered your time to hang posters, make the fantastic food and advertise auction items online. You set up, cleaned up, provided activities for the kids and ensured that everyone had plenty to eat and lots of fun. We couldn’t do it without the generous donation of your time.

And thank you “Four 2 Play” for providing the fantastic music. We’re so sorry you got rained out when things were just getting started.

I am so grateful for the generosity and support of the many individuals who get involved and help us with this annual event. I appreciate the soft spot you have in your hearts for our seniors and the home we provide for them.
