Steamboat Springs — An autopsy performed Thursday showed that David Lundy, 73, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died of a heart attack while tubing the Yampa River on Tuesday.
Lundy was visiting Steamboat Springs by himself and was staying with a friend.
Lundy was struggling while tubing, and a family visiting Steamboat helped bring Lundy to shore near the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge. He then passed out, and CPR was started. Lundy never regained a pulse.
