Celebrating 20 successful years of operation, luxury vacation home rental specialist Moving Mountains welcomes Gardner Flanigan as its new general manager, effective Monday, July 10, according to a news release from the company.

Flanigan, a longtime resident of Steamboat Springs, brings more than 20 years of experience as a marketing and sales management professional. At Moving Mountains, he will head up a talented hospitality team that paves the way to creating memorable vacation experiences for visitors while exploring new opportunities for regional growth.

“We are delighted to welcome a dynamic leader like Gardner to head up our Steamboat operations,” said Robin Craigen, Moving Mountains CEO and co-founder, in the news release. “His experience, leadership and marketing skills make him an ideal fit for our team. We share his passion for this beautiful mountain community and welcome his energy as demand for our services continues to grow.”

Before joining the Moving Mountains team, Flanigan was marketing director at Smartwool, playing a leading role in the strategic development and growth of the global brand. Before that, he served as director of staffing services at HIMS Consulting Group, where he honed his management skills.

As an ex-ski racing coach, Flanigan is still an avid skier and occasional snowboarder who enjoys powder days with his wife of 20 years and two ski-racing children. His summers include cycling, mountain biking, camping and enjoying the warm days and cool nights of Northwest Colorado.
