LEGAL NOTICE

The City of Steamboat Springs, a municipal organization, intends to seek Federal Transit Administration assistance for capital expenses for calendar years FY 2012 and FY 2013 through the Colorado Department of Transportation under the FTA 5311 and JARC Grant Program. The projects are described as follows:



*Capital Funding for up to $1.15 Million in State FY 2012, and up to $1.15 Million in State FY 2013 to purchase two hybrid buses each of these years – Buses are 35′ diesel/electric hybrid, heavy-duty transit buses, with 31 passenger seats and two wheelchair locations.

*Operating Funding for up to $1.33 Million in State FY 2012, and up to $1.33 Million in State FY 2013.



*Administration Funding for up to $300,000 in State FY 2012 and up to $300,000 in State FY 2013.

*JARC Funding for Operations for up to $100,000 in State FY 2012, and up to $100,000 in State FY 2013.

The buses will serve Northwest Colorado, including the communities of Steamboat Springs, Milner, Hayden and Craig. The deadline for submitting this application to CDOT is June 2011.

Individuals or agencies seeking to request transportation service, coordinate transportation with the City of Steamboat Springs or comment about the application should contact Ginger Scott, City of Steamboat Springs, P.O. Box 775088, Steamboat Springs CO, 80477, (970)-879-2060. Formal comments, requests for additional information, or requests for a public hearing must be received in writing by April 18, 2011. A public hearing may be requested to review and/or provide comment on the proposed grant requests. Upon receipt of a request, a date will be scheduled and a notice of hearing will be published.
