Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler to visit Steamboat on Friday

Scott Gessler

— Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler will visit Steamboat Springs on Friday for a duo of events.

Gessler will kick off his visit with a meet and greet at noon at Rex’s American Grill & Bar, 3190 S Lincoln Ave., before heading to the Lincoln Day Dinner at 5:30 p.m. at the Steamboat Springs Community Center, 1605 Lincoln Ave.

Gessler will be one of the keynote speakers — along with Sherri Gibson, of American Conservatives of Color — at the potluck dinner, which is a fundraiser for the Routt County Republicans.

Gessler will discuss conservatism in Colorado, and Gibson will give a speech titled “Republicans are Not the Enemy.”

The event starts with a social hour and cash bar before dinner at 6:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a vegetable, salad or dessert to share, and meat and potatoes will be provided. The cost is $35 for adults, $20 for those younger than 25, and free for children 5 and younger.
