Brenner named to dean’s list at UNC
Daniel Brenner was named to the dean’s list of Academic Distinction at the University of Northern Colorado for the 2004 to 2005 school year. The distinction is given to students with a minimum of 24 semester hours and a GPA of 3.75 or above. Brenner has a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Cadet graduates from U.S. Military Academy
West Point, N.Y.
Cadet Nissa Carlson, daughter of Eric and Rita Carlson of Steamboat Springs, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy on May 28. She focused her studies in International Relations and was commissioned a second lieutenant, branched aviation. She will attend an Officer Basic Course at Fort Rucker, Ala.
Gooding graduates cum laude from Vermont
Burlington, Vt.
Gates K. Gooding of Steamboat Springs received a bachelor’s degree and graduated cum laude at May 22 commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont. Gooding was a geography major.
Starr earns bachelor’s degree at Bates
Lewiston, Maine
Rachel A. Starr, a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, graduated from Bates College with a bachelor’s degree in art and visual culture. Starr, now of Austin, Texas, is a dean’s list student and a former member of the women’s outdoor and cross-country track teams. During the winter semester of her junior year, she studied in Italy. She is the daughter of Richard and Margie Starr.
