City of Steamboat Springs seeks public art proposals
July 18, 2017
The city of Steamboat Springs has ended the moratorium on accepting public art to be placed on city-owned property and is accepting proposals through Aug. 14.
Applicants must submit an application and associated information, including photographs, site plans, maintenance requirements and budget to Winnie DelliQuadri, assistant to the city manager at firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications can also be dropped off at City Hall, 137 10th Street.
The city's Public Art Policy, which provides guidance on this process, as well as the Public Art Donation Application, can be found on the city's website at steamboatsprings.net/publicart.
Appropriate city departments will be consulted to evaluate the proposal and any potential issues, and a curatorial group will make recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Commission and/or City Council for final approval.
The deadline to apply is Aug. 14.
