Business & Real Estate briefs: Golf magazine praise Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club

The Sheraton Steamboat Resort’s Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club has been recognized Colorado Avid Golfer as one of the state’s “Best Mountain Courses.”

The course is featured as one of two “staff picks” in the magazine’s coveted 2013 CAGGY Awards, featured in the Spring issue out now.

Rollingstone Ranch, scheduled to reopen for the 2013 season on June 1, was designed by Robert Trent Jones II. A “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” by Audubon International, the 18-hole course consists of bentgrass/poa annual greens and bluegrass/ryegrass fairways. It has roughs and sixty-six sand bunkers, and fairways cross Fish Creek, which tumbles off the Continental Divide.

The Sheraton is offering lodging/golf packages with 18 holes at Rollingstone and 18 more at nearby Haymaker.
