Business briefs: Steamboat properties earn TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

— Highmark Steamboat Luxury Vacation Rentals and four Steamboat properties managed by Wyndham Vacation Rentals earned TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence for 2014.

For Wyndham, EagleRidge Lodge, The Lodge at Steamboat, Trailhead Lodge and Trappeur's Crossing Resort & Spa all earned the designation.

To qualify for the award, businesses must maintain a rating of at least four out of five stars from reviewers on the travel website The award also takes into account the volume of reviews in the past 12 months.

"These achievements are an excellent example of our ability to locally manage and globally market our properties," Patrick Delaney, vice president of operations for Wyndham Vacation Rentals in Steamboat Springs, said in a news release. "We are very proud of all of our managed properties as well as our fantastic owner partners. The exceptional service we provide our guests stands out and is reflected in the feedback they share on global sites like TripAdvisor. It is exciting to see our guests recognize these four properties in particular for quality service and wonderful accommodations."

Wells Fargo's Eileen Allen earns Premier Advisor designation

Senior Vice President Eileen Allen has been designated a Premier Advisor for the third straight year by Wells Fargo Advisors, according to a news release.

The release states that the achievement reflects meeting or exceeding Wells Fargo Advisors' standards for revenue generation, education attainment and client-service best practices.

Allen also has been named to the Concord Elite list, according to the release.

"Those Premier Advisors that qualify demonstrate three key characteristics: An unwavering focus on putting their clients first, no matter what was happening in the markets or in the organization; a commitment to collaboration with their colleagues in order for Wells Fargo to meet as many of the client's financial needs as possible; and the commitment to deliver extraordinary service," the release states.

Commercial real estate firm expands network to Steamboat Springs

NAI Mountain Commercial has expanded its operations into Steamboat Springs, according to a news release.

NAI is a member of a network of commercial real estate firms and is dedicated to commercial and investment real estate from Summit to Pitkin counties, the release states.

Brian Olson, who founded Olson Development Co. in Steamboat in 1998, has joined the firm and will operate out of NAI's new Steamboat office. Olson holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member with expertise in the commercial and investment real estate industry, the release states.

"I am delighted for the opportunity to help grow the NAI Mountain Commercial business and to work with a full-service firm that deals exclusively with commercial real estate in the resort markets of Colorado," Olson said in the release. "The tools, resources and expanded capability available through the NAI Global network will allow us to leverage our multi-market coverage for the maximum benefit of our clients."

Resort marketing company releases free tool for Steamboat businesses

What To Do resort marketing company has released a free, online tool to allow businesses to upload events and streamline information, according to a news release.

"The free system allows event producers to publish unlimited events on the company’s network of websites using a state-of-the-art web portal that lets them track the effectiveness of their marketing efforts and edit, sort and store content for future event marketing," the release states.

Published event information is available at and other websites that use the company's data.

The company also has expanded to other resort regions, including Aspen/Glenwood, Leadville, Durango and locations in California and Utah, the release states.
