Business briefs: Prudential Steamboat Realty adds Josie Tolan as buyer broker

Steamboat Springs — Josie Tolan is joining the Olson Team at Prudential Steamboat Realty, according to a news release.
Tolan brings more than 20 years of customer service and sales experience to her position as a buyer broker, the release states.
"I vividly remember the excitement of purchasing property in the Yampa Valley nearly 10 years ago," Tolan said in the release. "To be able to assist others in this endeavor is an amazing opportunity for me."
"I am excited to add Josie to my team," Lisa Olson said in the release. "She has an enthusiasm and commitment to her clients that is hard to find. Her passion for the Steamboat lifestyle is truly contagious!"
Mountain spec home sells for $2.1 million
A spec home in the mountain area recently sold for $2.1 million
Construction started on the Ridge Road home in 2012, and it closed for more than $520 per square foot during the first week of August, according to listing agent Darrin Fryer.

Fryer complemented KSA's design and the excellent craftsmanship of Soda Mountain Carpentry as integral to the quick sale.
"It makes the marketing easier when you have a chance to have your hand in the critical parts of the design phase, and it didn't hurt that the lot had top-class views, too," Fryer wrote in an email.
Timbers Resorts to replace Ritz-Carlton as manager of Bachelor Gulch
Timbers Resorts, the developer of One Steamboat Place, is taking over as the manager and operator of what was formerly the Ritz-Carlton Club – Bachelor Gulch, according to a news release. The change will be effective Nov. 1.
Bachelor Gulch is on Beaver Creek Mountain in the Vail Valley. The residence club will be renamed, according to the release, and will be the 13th property in the Timbers Resorts portfolio.
If given approval by the club's board, the release states, Timbers will start a remodel of the property in 2014.
Remember Me gift shop opens in downtown Steamboat
Located at 734 Lincoln Ave. between Bucking Rainbow Outfitters and Johnny B Good’s, Pam Montandon is opening Remember Me. Montandon also owns a store in Fredricksberg, Texas. Remember Me is a gift store with the tag line “A collection of great stuff for your home and your person.”
