Business briefs: Bank sales reach 15 in Routt County in October

Steamboat Springs — Land Title Guarantee Co. reports 15 bank sales of properties in Routt County in October.
Of the 15, six were located within Steamboat Springs city limits.
The highest sale of a home was for $930,000, and the lowest was $67,000 for a condo in Chaparral Terraces.
4 million-dollar homes sell in Routt in October
Four homes valued at $1 million or more sold in Routt County in October. One buyer was from Pennsylvania, and a second was from Texas. The two other purchases were made by people already living in Steamboat Springs.
Of the four, the most expensive was a home in Stonebridge Park that sold for $3.5 million.
Calcon recognized for construction excellence
Calcon Constructors Inc. was presented the 2012 Ace Merit Award for Construction Excellence by the Associated General Contractors of Colorado for the North Routt Community Charter School.
The new school located in Clark was designed by Michael J.K. Olsen, Architects, of Steamboat Springs, and currently is pursuing a LEED Platinum designation. The award was granted in the category of "Best Building Project, Under $10 Million."
