Best of the Boat voting extended

Meg Palumbo, 2016 Best of the Boat's Most Eligible Bachelorette, celebrates her win with friends.

Want to honor your friend's mustache or favorite margarita? How about best city council member or even town's top cowboy?

This weekend is your last chance.

The Steamboat Pilot & Today announced it has extended its annual Best of the Boat survey until midnight on Sunday, Aug. 20.  So ring in the next day's sun-blocking eclipse by blocking out a few minutes to vote for your favorite things about living, working, playing and eating in Steamboat Springs.

With six sections, including shopping, dining, food specialties, home and garden, business and community and professionals, this year's survey is expected to top nearly 100,000 total votes in more than a 100 categories, from town's best burrito and spa to pet store and breakfast spot.

It also has a "lighter side” category, awarding accolades to everything from best cruiser bike and dancer to mountain bike trail and, yes, mullet.

"It's been a pretty big success every year and is proving so again," said Steamboat Living magazine editor Eugene Buchanan. "People here are pretty opinionated about all things Steamboat."
