NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR



A PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Steamboat Springs proposes to provide additional land for future hangar/landside development along with the development of a partial parallel taxiway to the end of Runway 32 at the Steamboat Springs/Bob Adams Field Airport. The project includes the acquisition of 6.9 acres of land for the proposed development.



A Draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed project has been prepared and is available for public review. The document will be available for review during business hours at the Steamboat Springs City Hall and the Steamboat Springs/Bob Adams Field Airport.

An opportunity for a public hearing is provided to fulfill the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966. If requested, a public hearing shall be held to consider the economic and social effects of the proposed improvements and its consistency with local planning goals and objectives.

Interested parties may submit a request for a public hearing within 30 days of this notice. If requested, a hearing notice will be published a minimum of 15 days prior to the hearing. Written comments concerning the project may also be submitted, in lieu of or in addition to a request for a hearing, for 30 days from the first publication date of this notice.
