Adam and Lora Reichley: Support early childhood education

Early childhood education has proven to be a very important element in the development of young children, and we have been very fortunate that all three of our children have been able to attend the Discovery Learning Center preschool program (part of the Family Development Center) before moving into the public school system.

This would not have been possible without the assistance of their scholarship programs, and we are so thankful that they are in place. The facility is top notch, and I always know that my children are in a safe and secure environment.

The staff, however, is what makes it a truly special place. They sincerely care about the wellbeing of the children and families in our community, and their impact on the lives of more than 450 families in Routt County cannot be overstated.

A great way to ensure the continued success of the Discovery Learning Center is by supporting the upcoming Casino Night at the Steamboat Grand from 7 to 10 p.m. March 11. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For those unable to attend, donations will be accepted for the silent auction.

All proceeds from this year’s event will be put toward scholarships, professional staff development and improving outdoor play equipment. Contact Colleen at 970-879-5973 or admin@familydevelpmentcenter.org for more information.

Sincerely,

Adam and Lora Reichley
