— Storm Peak Brewing Co. has stockpiled its beer and is hopeful it can keep everyone from getting thirsty while it move to its new location.

“We should be good, assuming we hit the timeline we are on,” co-owner Wyatt Patterson said Tuesday. “We brewed like crazy in the old spot before we took that apart.”

Storm Peak’s old seven-barrel brewing system was disassembled and trucked to North Carolina, where it will be used by a start-up called Petty Thieves Brewing Co.

A new 20-barrel system is being assembled at the new location at Lincoln Avenue and Elk River Road.

Patterson said he hopes to be brewing again by the middle of April.

Storm Peak will pour its last beers at its current location Thursday. Patterson hopes to have the new space open in about a week and a half.

Patterson said Storm Peak has seen steady growth since opening in June 2014. It is not uncommon to see cars parked along Lincoln Avenue when the brewery’s lot is full.

The new 4,600-square-foot facility will be able to hold about 100 people, and garage doors will open onto a large patio with a fire pit.

“Just a good place to hang out and drink some beer,” Patterson said.

The space is accented by salvaged wood from snow fences in Wyoming.

At the bar, there will be 20 taps instead of 10, which will allow room for non-alcoholic drinks, such as root beer. Also on tap will be kombucha, a fermented tea.

The bar will be topped with wood from beetle-killed lodgepole pine trees.

“Our dad built the old one,” Patterson said. “He’s building the new one, too.”
