— The city of Steamboat Springs and Duckels Construction will be installing a water main in and around the Airport Circle and Elk River Road/County Road 129 intersection beginning May 5.

Shoulder improvements to the southbound Elk River Road also will be made during the project.

One lane of traffic will be maintained during the course of construction. Vehicular traffic should expect minor delays along Airport Circle and Elk River Road. The public is urged to use caution and slow down.

Construction is expected to last approximately eight weeks, weather permitting.  Once complete, the project will create a loop in the water system, which will allow for more water circulation to the airport area, creating better water quality and fire flow protection.
