Business briefs: New broker joins CGR team

New broker joins CGR team

Matt Kaufmann has joined the Colorado Group Realty team. He is the newest associate, which includes a group of more than 60 owners and associates.

Kaufmann has spent the past several years in the ski and snowboard industry, handling sales for different companies. Through the course of Kaufmann’s career, he realized he was spending too much time away from the community he loves, Steamboat Springs, and committed to changing his career path for a more permanent stay professionally in Steamboat Springs, according to a news release from Colorado Group Realty.

Before Kaufmann started his career, he was a graduate of Colorado Mountain College with a degree in business administration. Kaufmann was in the first graduating class receiving a four-year bachelor’s degree from CMC.

Steamboat possesses the passion for the outdoors Kaufmann enjoys, but it’s size provides opportunity for professional growth. He is looking forward to helping future buyers and sellers find a home that helps them fall in love with Steamboat, just as he did when he first came to the Yampa Valley.

“Matt’s knowledge of the area and his ability to navigate through different areas make him a wonderful addition to the Colorado Group Realty family. We are excited to see what his future in real estate here holds,” said Ron Wendler, broker/owner.

New lender joins Yampa Valley Bank

Fortna will ensure clear communication and is passionate about helping families achieve home ownership, according to the release.

Fortna moved to Steamboat Springs with her husband, Steve, and son, Jack, and is thrilled to be part of the Yampa Valley Bank team. Contact Fortna at wfortna@yampavalleybank.com or 970-875-1638.
