Lane Schrock: Leave Rita Valentine Park alone

To whom it may concern,

There are very few parks in Steamboat period, much less large ones that invite people to be able to do anything they want (as long as it is legal).

Rita Valentine, a former council member, dedicated this park to the Anglers Drive area. It’s a beautiful 37- to 40-acre recreational area and dog park.

There have been many suggestions throughout the years of changes that could be made. It always goes back to being appreciated as it is.

Usually, it is quiet and a great place to take a walk, paint a picture, do photography. I think it is a great place to train dogs, another thing that goes on.

We don’t need a rec center, a fire house or anything more than what it is. Please leave it alone!

Thank you,

Lane Schrock
