A unique shrimp dish cooked in a spicy broth.
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried whole rosemary
1 cup brown rice
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
In a large saucepan, mix all ingredients except rice and shrimp. Let mixture stand one to two hours before cooking to blend flavors. Meanwhile, cook rice according to package directions. Ten minutes before serving time, bring spice mixture to a boil; add shrimp and cook until shrimp are opaque. Serve over rice. Serves 4.
