Police, fire and ambulance calls received
1:21 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to the scene of a fight in the first block of Seventh Street. Two men had gotten into a fight, one man punching another without causing serious injury. That man was arrested for harassment.
1:30 a.m. Officers on patrol spotted someone urinating in public. The urinator was given a municipal court citation.
2:44 p.m. Officers were called when guests staying in the 2100 block of Après Ski Way reported that a maintenance man at the property had come to their door and called them obscene names. The maintenance man was contacted by police, who determined there wasn’t a situation going on.
3:17 p.m. Officers were called when a passer-by noticed a business in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue was closed, but the door was unlocked. An employee was contacted, and the business was secured.
3:20 p.m. Officers were called to the 2000 block of Curve Plaza when employees of a gas station there reported a white car had pumped about $57 worth of fuel and driven away without paying. Officers weren’t able to find the suspected vehicle.
3:42 p.m. Officers and security personnel with Steamboat Ski Area were called when a suspicious person was reported to be riding through the Meadows Parking Lot on a bike, looking into the windows of parked cars. The person was gone when officers arrived.
6:14 p.m. A person called officers to report that a bike was stolen in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue, but the person found the bike shortly after calling and before officers could arrive.
6:35 p.m. Officers were called to a restaurant in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue when employees reported an intoxicated man continued to return to the establishment after having been asked to leave several times. The man gave officers a fake name, but one of the officers recognized him. It was determined he had a protection order and was arrested for harassment and violation of a protection order.
6:40 p.m. Officers were called to the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle when a skier was found to be using someone else’s pass for night skiing. The skier and Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. entered into a civil agreement, and no charges were filed.
10:26 p.m. Officers were called to a disturbance between roommates in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. A woman was arrested for third-degree assault and for obstruction of telephone services, which is trying to hinder someone’s attempt to call 911 or not allowing them to get to a phone.
10:48 p.m. Officers were called to the scene of a crash at the corner of Hilltop Parkway and U.S. Highway 40. The driver of a motorcycle involved in the crash was determined to be at fault and given a citation for careless driving.
