Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:42 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a drunken man in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The 21-year-old man was celebrating his birthday, and it appeared he had fallen and hurt his head. He was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and then detox.

8:38 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of vandalism in the 61900 block of Routt County Road 129.

8:38 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with trauma in the 59200 block of Cripple Creek Court.

9:02 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a visiting teenager that never came home the previous night in the 1100 block of Bantail Way. His father located him the next day at Steamboat Ski Area.

10:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who drove up to a condo complex in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive and illegally dumped trash.

11:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man in the 500 block of Wyatt Way who wanted to complain about former roommates who were saying negative things about him on an online ad he placed to find new roommates.

12:38 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a head injury in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road.

3:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a parking complaint in the 1100 block of Bangtail Way.

6 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a vehicle complaint in the Dakota Ridge subdivision.

6:28 p.m. Officers stopped a driver for speeding at Longview Circle and Hilltop Parkway and arrested the 28-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI.

6:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that had been found in the book drop at Bud Werner Memorial Library. It was returned to the owner.

9:43 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 100 block of South Fifth Street.

10 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person with a head injury in the 300 block of Vista Verde Drive.

Anything a 21 year old does to celebrate his birthday will probably be a mistake. I can not remember what I did 48 years ago but since I was engaged to be married and graduating from college in a little over a month it was probably pretty mild.
