— It’s a new season with a new coach, but things seemed positively old-school Saturday for the Steamboat Springs High School boys lacrosse team.

After driving to the state semifinals a year ago, the Sailors opened their season with a 21-0 win against Glenwood Springs. That’s the same score as the game a year ago, when the Sailors and Demons met, with Steamboat en route to a 14-4 record and Glenwood to a 2-13 mark.

Steamboat is back in action Friday with a trip to Lakewood to play Green Mountain.

The Sailors won’t play at home until March 29.
