Casino Night fundraiser benefits family programs
The Family Development Center will hold its annual Casino Night fundraiser from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Steamboat Grand ballroom.
The event provides an evening of fund Vegas-style games, including black jack, roulette, craps and Texas hold’em in a friendly, no-pressure environment. The winners of these games are the families served by FDC programs, which include Newborn Network, Discovery Learning Center and Child Care Network.
Casino Night is open to the public. Gaming is from 8 to 11 p.m. and a silent auction will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at All That Jazz, The Space Station and Christy Sports in Central Park Plaza or from Discovery Learning Center parents.
Volunteer dealers still are needed for the event. Anyone who is interested is asked to call Tami at 970-879-5973, ext. 11. Dealer training will be held that night.
The FDC’s Parent Advisory Council has decided to use the proceeds from this year’s Casino Night to fund professional development for all staff, scholarship programs and mini jumbotrons for each classroom.
