Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:40 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a transient man sleeping at the Stock Bridge Transit Center. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters later took the man to Yampa Valley Medical Center because he reported having back pain.

11:33 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a student at Soda Creek Elementary School who received an inappropriate message on a cellphone.

11:59 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had unauthorized charges on a bank account.

12:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who potentially was taken advantage of financially.

1:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who wanted to report a scratch on his car at Colorado Mountain College.

1:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 2200 block of Downhill Drive. A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and criminal mischief.

3:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas stolen from a station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The report was unfounded.

5:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loaded handgun magazine found at a movie theater last week in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza.

8:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found on Fourth Street.

10:34 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash near mile marker 5 on Routt County Road 36.

10:39 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Yampa Valley Regional Airport.

11:27 p.m. Officers stopped a car at Walton Creek Road and Village Drive and arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and speeding.

11:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment involving students at Colorado Mountain College.

Yes, that is so tragic. It means there is a gun without it's magazine. I hear there will be a candlelight vigil tonight.

Funny Scott! I actually misread it I thought at first it was a hand gun WITH a loaded magazine was left. Made me think of pre meditated
