Police, fire and ambulance calls
7:57 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people smoking marijuana on a deck near a restaurant in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. An officer was going to meet with the people involved to mediate the situation.
8:53 a.m. A person asked to speak to an officer about people who were underage and going to downtown bars.
10:29 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a possible wildfire at Peckham Lane and Routt County Road 27. A resident was burning a camping trailer.
12:15 p.m. A person came to the police department and wanted to report harassing phone calls. The person making the phone calls was given a warning.
1:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of drugs being dealt at Snow Bowl Plaza.
1:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a cellphone lost at a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
3:15 p.m. Officers were called to check on a person who was possibly suicidal at a motel in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The parents came and got the person.
3:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a tow truck leaking fuel in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
6:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive. A drunken woman who had been released from jail four hours before reportedly threw a neighbor’s grill off the balcony. The 55-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree tampering and violation of a protection order because she was not supposed to be drinking.
8:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of bears getting into trash in the 500 block of Gilpin Street. The trash was not secured, and a warning was given.
10:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious car at Aspen Wood Drive and Steamboat Boulevard. No one was inside.
10:51 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an underage drinking party in the first block of Highland Circle. Two minors were given summonses for possessing alcohol, and an 18-year-old woman was given a summons for violating the social host ordinance.
11:48 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noise complaint in the 36800 block of Tree Haus Drive.
