Q: What makes this car stand out from the rest?

A: It’s the Fox (unitized body) platform that Ford used from 1979-83.

Q: How did you come by it? Did you buy it new or track it down?

A: I purchased it new in 1982. I have 10 cars on my antique (insurance) policy, including five Mustangs. I’m kind of like Jay Leno, I can’t let a car go.

Q: Why are you loyal to Ford and Mustangs?

A: It’s my 1955 Thunderbird.

Q: How often do you drive it?

A: The ’82 is fun to drive. I try to drive the cars once a month.

Q: What’s your other car?

A: A four-cylinder, ’95 Escort wagon is my daily driver.

Q: Define the Mustang mystique.

A: It was unique. GM didn’t have anything like it.

Great story. Isn't this Mustang Roundup weekend? I can't tell by reading the Today -- I don't see anything listed in the upcoming events, and it'd be nice to plan for these things, not to mention whatever promotion might provided by this information. I want another Mustang, hoplefuly as cool as my last one, a '70 Mach I; it'd go 160...

Yes it is. Page 3 in Sunday paper gives schedule.

Huh... my bad... I guess... silly me... Page 3 sounds like hard copy, Sunday sounds expensive, and I don't recall seeing any other Mustang articles online... but now that I look further, yup, there they are, including one by Tom Ross including a schedule of events -- so now if I miss anything, it's my own damn fault. Thanks for the prod, Jerry!!
