Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:18 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident. An elementary school student reported seeing a “creepy guy” at the carnival.

9:35 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help with a fuel spill in the 1200 block of Steamboat Boulevard.

10:09 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a deer hit by a car at Downhill Drive and Lincoln Avenue.

10:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who said she was yelled at and cursed at by a man driving a white truck at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln Avenue.

10:48 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to investigate smoke in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

11:49 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with a fuel spill in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road.

12:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in the 700 block of Tamarack Drive. It was a neighbor dispute.

12:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 500 block of Wyatt Way who wanted to complain about a neighbor’s unkempt yard.

12:57 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

1:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a construction worker who was not directing traffic appropriately at Walton Creek Road and South Lincoln Avenue.

1:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of Steamboat Springs High School student who were in the back of a truck and being obnoxious. They could not be located.

2:51 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an accident at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. A driver had rear-ended another driver. Two people were taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with injuries that were not thought to be serious.

5:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas stolen from a station in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. The person returned to pay for the gas.

5:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $81.35 in gas stolen from a station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

5:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who received a phone call from a person asking for personal information.

6:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man on U.S. Highway 40. The man was outside city limits.

6:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was concerned about a bear being downtown near 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

7:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a backpack stolen from a gym in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

7:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse found on the Yampa River Core Trail. It was returned to the owner.

7:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 3300 block of Columbine Drive. An older man on a motorcycle wearing a Harley Davidson leather jacket reportedly approached children ages five to nine years old and asked them to come back to his place to help him carry groceries.

8:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was concerned about a man seen coming out of a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive with an armload of ammunition.

9:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was complaining about a semi that was idling in front of a residence and fumes were getting inside in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Circle.

10:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a lot of noise and yelling in the 1200 block of Sparta Plaza.

11:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was in a tree and acting aggressive to a person who was tried to scare it away in the 800 block of West Hillside Court.
