12:26 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a drunken woman who locked herself out of her car in the police department parking lot. She was told not to drive home.

1:54 a.m. Officers contacted a drunken man passed out in the road in the 700 block of Yampa Street. He was taken to detox.

2:05 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 600 block of Meadowbrook Circle. A woman heard her dog barking and thought someone tried to break into her house. No one was found.

2:16 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight at a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man was taken to detox.

3:17 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 1600 block of Shadow Run Frontage. A warning was given.

3:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear trying to get into a Dumpster in the 200 block of Anglers Drive. It was scared away.

5:28 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear getting into a Dumpster in the 600 block of Anglers Drive. The homeowners association previously had been given three warnings for having unsecured trash so a citation was issued.

7:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an illegal fire fit on Mill Run Court. It was on private property.

8:45 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of an explosion near the Stagecoach Reservoir dam. A truck and camper were on fire, and the fire was quickly put out. No one was injured. It was thought that a water heater short circuit started the fire.

9:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of mortars for the fireworks show that had been kicked over at Howelsen Hill. There wasn't really any damage, and it will not affect the fireworks show.

11:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a camper blocking the entrance to the Steamboat Springs Community Center.

12:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse taken from an unlocked car at the rodeo grounds.

2:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $58 in gas taken from a station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

4:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a reckless driver at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The car was located, but no one was inside.

6:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver that almost hit a person at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The person who reported it thought the driver was drunk. The driver could not be located.

6:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was refusing to pay her tab at a restaurant in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. The 77-year-old woman had a warrant for failing to appear in court for a theft charge, and she was taken to jail.

8:51 p.m. Officers were called to check on a suicidal person. The person could not be found.

11:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear trying to get into a secured Dumpster in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

11:32 p.m. Officers contacted a car with its lights on in the Meadows Parking Lot. No one was inside.
