Steamboat Springs A Lake Catamount home listed for $5.1 million dollars placed eighth in the Wall Street Journal’s House of the Year list.
Wall Street Journal readers voted on the top 10 from 51 houses chosen from the newspaper’s House of the Day feature.
“The poll format generated a randomized set of matchups between two homes at a time; the voter's favorite home advanced to the next round, winning votes along the way until the end,” according to the Journal’s website. “Each voter could cast multiple votes for one or more homes, and was able to take the poll more than once.”
The top home was a condo on the west side of Lake Tahoe in California.
In the U.S. reader poll, 897,478 votes were counted.
The Lake Catamount home was featured in the fall 2013 issue of Steamboat Homefinder and is listed by Darlinda Baldinger.
