Group hosts network event for young professionals
The Young Professionals Network in Steamboat will host a happy hour at T Bar near the base of Steamboat Ski Area.
Come by from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 29 for casual networking and socializing with fellow YPN members. This event is free, and happy hour pricing will be available until 7 p.m., courtesy of the T Bar. Non-members who are interested in joining YPN are welcome.
Emerald Mountain School offers information session
Emerald Mountain School will hold an admission information session at 7 p.m. Jan. 29 for parents to learn more about the school’s K-8 program.

2nd ski jumping event is today at Howelsen Hill
Hitchen Brothers Wednesday Night Jump No. 2 is set for Jan. 29 at Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs. This is the second of four events for the season.
Training and warm-up jumps are from 4 to 4:45 p.m., and registration is from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. followed by pizza, cookies and lemonade in Olympian Hall. Competition starts at 6 p.m., and competitors who are not members of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club must fill out a waiver before jumping. The event is free and open to the public. CSU Extension, Goodwill offer disability workshops
Colorado State University Extension and Goodwill Industries of Denver are partnering on the Colorado AgrAbility Project to provide disability workshops, on-site evaluations, resource information, equipment modification and assistive technology to agriculture operators and rural landowners.
AgrAbility will offer a free workshop to area residents from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 29 at the Commissioners Hearing Room in the Routt County Courthouse, 522 Lincoln Ave. Lunch is included for those who preregister.

Winter Carnival sign-ups start online on Friday
Registration for the 101st annual Winter Carnival Street Events begins at 10 a.m. Jan. 31 and is available online only.

Business seminar to focus on cloud-based finances
The Colorado Mountain College Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center in Steamboat Springs will host a seminar, “Cloud-Based Financial Record Management,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 in the CMC Academic Center, Room 127. The program, which will focus on options for cloud-based bookkeeping and record-keeping, will be presented by Scott Ford and Stacia Gondusky, and the cost is $15 per person.

Registration now open for Teens on Tour trip
Registration is underway for the Teens on Tour overnight trip to Denver on March 6 and 7. The program is for middle school students, and those interested can register until 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
The trip includes the following activities: shopping at Cherry Creek Shopping Center, swimming at Staybridge Suites in Cherry Creek, three games of Laser Tag at Laser Quest and planetarium, I-MAX and Maya Hidden Worlds Exhibit at the Museum of Nature & Science.
The registration fee is $100 and covers transportation, activity fees, dinner Thursday, breakfast and lunch Friday and hotel accommodations. Participants must bring a sack lunch for Thursday.
