A pair of former Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club snowboarders are heading to the Olympics.
Jarryd Hughes and Belle Brockhoff, both Australian snowboard cross competitors, were named to the Australian Olympic team.
Both now compete for Team Utah with former Winter Sports Club snowboard director Jon Casson.
Hughes has emerged as one of the top men on the World Cup circuit. He won his first World Cup event at a December race in Canada and hasn’t finished below 11th in any race this season.
Brockoff landed her first top-10 finish of the season in the most recent World Cup event.
