Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 1200 block of Sparta Plaza.

8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who drove through a school bus stop sign at Conifer Circle and East Maple Street. Police know who the man is and were going to contact him.

9:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman in the 900 block of Oak Street who found a note on her car saying she had been reported to police. It is thought that a neighbor wrote the note because of a parking issue.

12:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza.

4:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a 56-year-old Texas woman who lost a $45,000 diamond ring while visiting Steamboat. She had been staying at a hotel in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle and noticed it was missing after taking a shuttle Jan. 9 to eat breakfast downtown. She thought it might have been at the hotel, but it was not. The woman’s insurance company told her to file a police report.

8:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a wallet at the base of Steamboat Ski Area.

11:55 p.m. Officers contacted a male sitting in the snow at Hilltop Parkway and South Lincoln Avenue. He was waiting for the bus and was fine.

11:58 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who possibly overdosed in the 700 block of Yampa Street.
